Horne Smelter in Rouyn-Noranda
To support its fleet of forklifts, the Horne Smelter needed concrete slabs that could withstand the extreme heat and wear of the trucks. The technical experts at our plant in Rouyn-Noranda designed a special concrete mixture incorporating steel fibres using a proportion of 75 kg per cubic metre. The resulting product had a compressive strength of 30 MPa.
