Allard River bridge
This bridge on Highway 109 spanning the Allard River in the Matagami area is a main access point to Northern Quebec. Having been subjected to overloading, the bridge had to be replaced. During construction of the temporary and new bridges, our plant in Amos provided almost 2 500 m3 of concrete meeting the requirements set by Transports Québec (two of our fixed plants have Qualibéton 9000 certification). The transport of ice-cooled concrete in the summer and heated concrete in the winter was carried out over a 200-km distance. One of our technicians was on hand to ensure quality control standards were met upon delivery.
